The 28th Edition of Lloyd’s Maritime Atlas has been published by Informa Law from Routledge, an imprint of Taylor & Francis, an Informa business*.
The contents has been updated and several features have been added. These include –
*World map indicating where MARPOL, SECA and PSSA regulations are currently in force.
*Piracy hotspots and detailed analysis or routes to be avoided.
*Map of vaccinations required to protect against the major global diseases.
*Updated weather hazards at sea, plus international load line zone maps.
*BP Distance Tables for voyage and other calculations.
*Hyperlinked index map on a CD-ROM attached.
Taking the usual format, the Atlas includes exact longitude and latitude of more than 8,000 ports and other shipping places worldwide with over 70 full-colour world, ocean and regional maps.
In addition, a double page listing of world distance tables is included, plus 33 detailed regional tables to aid route planning operations.
A CD-ROM is also included, which contains piracy problem areas, search and rescue (SAR) centres and petroleum/bunker ports worldwide.
All the major canal and river systems have been included in the atlas, plus main road, rail and airport connections to aid multi-modal transportation.
