Belarus has offered Ukraine to join its Venezuelan oil delivery project, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych told reporters in Minsk on April 29 following his talks with Alyaksandr Lukashenka, as quoted by BelaPAN.
"Thank you for offering Ukraine to become a partner in the oil business that you have started with Venezuela," Mr. Yanukovych said. "This is great."
Ukraine will enjoy cooperating with Belarus in this project, he said. "I hope that, as partners, we'll help you transport it [the oil] and possibly even refine part of it and sell the petroleum products in Ukraine's market at contract prices that would be close to market ones."
