QUITO (Dow Jones)--Ecuador's oil export revenue totaled $592 million in February, down 15% from $692 million in January, the central bank said.
In terms of volume, Ecuador exported 8.5 million barrels in February down 11% from 9.5 million barrels a month before.
The average price of crude in February decreased 4% to $69.7 a barrel from $72.5 a barrel.
According to the central bank, of the total exported by the country in February, 6 million barrels, or 71%, were sold by state-run Petroecuador. The remainder was exported by private companies operating in Ecuador.
In February 2009, Ecuador exported 9.5 million barrels and obtained revenue of $252 million.
